What is podcasting and how to
use it:
If you are familiar with podcasting,
proceed to: Subscribing to our podcast below.
Podcasting is a way of publishing
sound files to the Internet. It allows users to subscribe to a feed
and receive new audio files automatically. Podcasting uses the RSS
2.0 file format.
Most of the modern web browsers
(like Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla 1.5 or Opera) have their own RSS
subscription tools. However, these are designed mostly to receive
text messages and they will only display links to music files (like
talks), leaving the downloads up to the user. In order to enjoy the
full convenience of automatic download one has to use special
podcasting software, like iTunes or Juice.
